Traditional Animation Class
Students aged 10-14 years
Beginning
October 9, 2004
, ASIFA Colorado will
be holding a traditional animation class for children aged 10 through 14
years. The program will last
for 5 consecutive Saturdays from
9AM
to
11:30AM
each Saturday.
During these classes students will learn about traditional
animation and independently animate a character of his/her design.
Students will learn simple techniques from bouncing a ball
through the more advanced techniques of a walk cycle.
This is a purely traditional 2d animation class and is a
foundation for any animator. This class is for beginner and intermediate
animators, the advanced animator is welcome but will proceed on his/her
own study. Students will be able to keep any animation tests and
drawings they create.
The program will be held at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and
Design in
Lakewood
,
Colorado
in the Animation
Lab. A cost of $130 per
student will be required to cover materials.
Space is limited and we will be taking students on a first come
first serve basis.
ASIFA Colorado was established in 2001 as a
non-profit organization devoted to cultivating and promoting the art,
craft and profession of animation. ASIFA-Colorado is a regional chapter
of the international organization, Association
Internationale du Film d'Animation (ASIFA).
